Limits
- JPG has no transparency; transparent areas become white.
- Animations and multi-page files are not supported.
Questions
Can I just rename the file extension?
No. Renaming changes the name, not the file. The site still sees the original format.
Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots and graphics with sharp edges or transparency, WebP only if the destination lists it.
Does converting lower the quality?
Saving as JPG or WebP compresses slightly; PNG keeps every pixel but is larger.
