Rule: Google Business Profile

Why Google Business Profile rejects the file

  1. Wrong format. Only JPG or PNG are accepted. HEIC, WebP and AVIF fail.
  2. File too small or too large. Photos must be between 10.24 KB and 5 MB. Tiny logo files are often below the minimum.
  3. Too few pixels. The minimum is 250 px × 250 px; Google recommends 720 px × 720 px.

How to make it fit

  1. Drop the photo and read the checks.
  2. Choose "Make it fit". Refentra converts to JPG or PNG and adjusts the file size.
  3. Upload the result in your Business Profile.

Pitfalls

  • A photo can meet every file rule and still not be shown if it breaks Google's content policies. That is not a file problem.
  • Refentra never enlarges an image; for a logo below the pixel minimum, export it larger from the original design.

Questions

Why was my photo removed later?

Removals after upload are usually content or policy decisions, not file problems.

Do videos have the same rules?

No. Videos have separate limits for size, length and resolution.
